In the state of Wisconsin, students have the right to participate in the governance of their university and are guaranteed a voice in the process of policy development. On a campus-wide committee, students work alongside faculty, staff, and administrators to tackle issues and run the university.
Each of the 50+ campus-wide committees serves a dedicated purpose. This provides students the opportunity to work on topics they care about and gain a wide depth of knowledge about university operations. In addition, the skills and experiences you gain from your time in shared governance will benefit you long after you leave UW-Stout.
Each committee meets at a different date and time, and if you would like to get involved in shared governance or learn more, contact us at ssa@uwstout.edu!
