Presidential Tickets

Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates run as a ticket; they will appear on the ballot together. There is only one ticket on the ballot.

Devin Dumke

Candidate for President

Devin is a Senior in the Computer and Electrical Engineering program with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science.

He currently holds these positions around campus: incumbent SSA President, Helping Hands Food Pantry Volunteer, and University Housing Resident Advisor.

Devin's personal statement: "Working for students through student government has been my passion for over three years, and continuing my work is why I am seeking reelection for President of the Stout Student Association. If elected, my administration will focus on long-lasting changes that will improve the lives of students. I recognize the need for our University to make a safe and healthy return to normal, and I will push for the easing of COVID restrictions when the time is right. Like students from marginalized backgrounds, I also recognize the need for meaningful change to ensure our campus is welcoming to all students, not just those from a majority identity. Finally, I seek improvements to our academics, providing more flexibility for students in general education and a renewed focus on advising. Above all else, as President I will listen to the students and their concerns, and act upon them until they are resolved."

Tsinuj Xiong

Candidate for Vice President

Tsimnuj is a Junior in the Computer Engineering program with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science.

He currently holds these positions around campus; SSA Senator of Technology, President of FLIGHT Club, and Hall Manager in University Housing.

Tsimnuj's personal statement: "As a minority student with the experience, skills, and background of a leader, I believe that if elected, I will make an effective Vice-President of the Stout Student Association. Currently, I am finishing my second term as Senator of Technology, and outside of student government I am a Hall Manager within University Housing and President of the F.L.I.G.H.T Club on campus. Through these diverse sets of leadership experiences, I have been an advocate and supporter of student success, and I have sought to develop a more positive college experience for students by listening to those who aspire for change. If elected, I will utilize my skills to improve the lives of all students at UW-Stout by increasing student opportunities and engagement. Through the pursuit of improvement and innovation, I ask for you to elect me to serve on your behalf as Vice-President of the Stout Student Association."

Danielle Annunziata

Candidate for Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Danielle is a Sohpmore in the Psychology program and double minoring in Studio Art and Business Administration.

She currently holds these positions around campus, Incumbant Senator of Student Life and Resident Advisor position in CKTO.

Danielle's personal statement: "It would be an honor to be the next Director of Equity, Diversion and Inclusion. I have been very passionate about advocating for minorities, especially in the passed year. As a white woman I have done a lot to educate myself on Black Lives Matter and the various racist constructs built into out society. As a queer woman in an interracial relationship in a vary conservative area, I know how isolating our society, and even campus can feel. I want to be an advocate for change and a representative for those, like myself, who need to see a more inclusive world."

Harri Bien-Aime

Candidate for Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Harri is a Senior in the Business Administration Major with Minors in Project Management, Retail, and Women and Gender Studies Specialization: Training and Human Resource Management

She currently holds these positions around campus, incumbant SSA Director of Equity Diversity and Inclusion, Gamma Sigma Sigma- Alumni Liaison, volunteer for the American Red Cross and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Harri's personal statement: "I plan to continue to bring forward initiatives that will bring more equity for underrepresented populations student wise, faculty wise, and staff wise; As UW-Stout is a campus that has plenty of room for growth in things like student wages, week long events during various history months through out the school year, and recruiting and retaining our underrepresented faculty, staff, and students. I am hoping over this next year to continue moving Stout and Menomonie to a more inclusive and diverse future "

Cody Gentz

Cody is a Junior in the Computer Science Major with a concentration in Cybersecurity.

He currently holds these positions around campus, incumbent Financial Affairs Director, Vice President of PONG, Member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals!

Cody's personal statement: "It has been a great honor to have served as Director of Financial Affairs for two terms. I'd like to continue my work and ask Stout Students to entrust me with a third and final term as Director of Financial Affairs. We've accomplished a lot in these last two years. It's now easier than ever for organizations to apply for funding, and we've implemented reforms to make more funding accessible to everyday student organizations. Next year, I'd like to continue making funding easier to apply for and work to produce better quality training materials for organizations and treasurers."

Nicholas Constantine

Nicholas is a Freshman in the Computer Networking and Information Technology!

He currently holds these positions around campus, incumbant Senator of Student Life and University Dining Services worker.

Nicholas' personal statement: "Hello! My name is Nicholas Constantine and I am running for election for the Stout Student Association. I have a big passion for technology and that's why I am part of the Student Information Technology Committee. I believe that I can use my knowledge of politics and IT to help people on campus, which is why I am proud to represent Stout students in the SSA."

Fiona Lindsay

Fiona is a Freshamn in the Computer Science - Cyber Security & Secure Software Development Concentration Major.

She currently holds these positions around campus, SSA Senator of Fiscal Managment.

Fiona's personal statement: "I have served as the fiscal management senator for this past year and have learned so much from my committee and from the senate itself. As a CS major with many minors surrounding networking and information technology, I would be honored to serve as the Director of Information Technology. My goal is to not only use what I have learned in my CS courses to benefit our community and students as Director of SITC, but to also learn from the position, making myself as useful as I possibly can."

Jackson Noll

Jackson is a Freshman in the Applied Social Science program with a Minor in Economics.

He currently holds these positions around campus, incumbant Director of Legislative Affairs, Men's Basketball team, Youth basketball coach and skill instructor, and has served as a Senator of the College of Arts Communications Humanities and Social Sciences!

Jackson's personal statement: "As the future Director of Legislative Affairs, I will have constant dialogue with Stout's students regarding bills, laws and ordinances that relate to our community and college. As the Director, I would be the connection for students to the administration. I am well informed on state politics and legislation and am confident to speak to our local and state politicians about the interests and concerns of Stout students. As the current and future Director I plan on increasing civic engagement on campus through voting efforts and speaking to our administration. I encourage anyone to come speak to me about a concern or interest they have in local, state, or Stout legislation."

Oliver Gibbs

Oliver is a Freshman in the Applied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major.

Oliver's personal statement: "My name is Oliver (Ollie) Gibbs, and I am running for Director of Sustainability and Senator of Fiscal Management. A little about me: I am majoring in Applied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and I love playing video games, hiking, and petting my cat. I want to be Director of Sustainability because I believe sustainability is incredibly important on a global level, and we need to do our part at Stout. This past year, I have served as the Vice-Chair of the Financial Affairs Committee and have worked on various committees. I am confident this experience has given me the skills to succeed as a Director."

Logan Willits

Logan is a Junior in the Applied Social Science program with an Economics Concentration, and minors in Spanish & GIS!

Ilkay Baseski

Ilkay is a Second Year Graduate Student in the Human Nutrition program.

Ilkay's personal statement: "I would love to continue my position as a CEHHH senator. I am planning to determine problems and solutions for my college. I think that I will be a good fit for this position. "

Trisha Haugen

Trisha is a Sophmore in the Technology Education Major.

Trisha's personal statement: "It has been a great honor to serve as a CEHHHS Senator this past term, and it has given me experience working within SSA and representing my fellow students. I am passionate about working toward an improved advising system that would allow students to navigate graduation requirements easier. I am also interested in making Stout a more friendly University to transfer students and ensuring that students don’t have to retake courses that they already have credit for. UW Stout has a lot of incredible campus resources, and I would be honored to continue working as a representative to ensure that those resources are accessible and benefiting students. "

Lydia Nelson

Lydia is a Freshman in the Applied Science program with an Applied Physics Concentration.

She currently holds these positions around campus, incumbant CSTEMM Senator.

Lydia's personal statement: "My first year at UW-Stout has been different than most first-year experiences. Navigating my way through college during a pandemic has given me the opportunity to become a stronger person with bigger and brighter goals. I have served as a senator for the college of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and management for the last 6 months, and have enjoyed every aspect of it. I love being able to make a difference around campus! I am currently an Applied Science major, with a concentration in Applied Physics. During the 52nd congress, I have quite a few goals. I want to find ways to embrace many forms of diversity within STEM, especially here at Stout!
