I have been in SSA for the past two years and have been extremely involved during my time. Every initiative that I have been a part of is for the greater good of campus. I have been a part of conversations to increase student wages, how to be more equitable in our mental health services, and conversations to make campus a more accessible space. I am running for President because I enjoy the work that we do in student government. I vow to be a President for the students.
My past two years of SSA experience, with one as a Director of Legislative Affairs, my initiatives to help empower student voices through promoting civic engagement and voter outreach, and my support for the raising of student wages to ensure Stout students receive a fair wage on campus are examples of the kinds of actions you would see me continue as Vice President, and to continue to empower the voices of all UW-Stout students.
I have been on Organization Affairs Committee for two semesters. I have done constitution audits, presented new organizations to the student senate, and provided information to students around campus who want to create a new organization. I want to continue to help out students with constitutions and one-year plans, to create an inclusive campus.
During my time on SSA I served as the Vice Chair of Organizational Affairs. With that being said I want to use the knowledge I have gained throughout my time on SSA to continue to support students and their voices. With this role I would be able to approve clubs and make sure that students are getting wide range of opportunities to express themselves and their interests. I have enjoyed my time being a member of SSA and I want to continue serving UW- Stout to my full protentional.
I am currently in Psychology major with a scholarship and a recruitment assistant of the OIE. My current GPA is 3.6. I am a co-founder and former president of an events club in high school. Additionally, I used to be the head of the logistics department in the photography club in my previous college and one of my former job was the concierge .
Hi! I'm Maya and I’m a Senator for the Stout Student Association who has sat on the Financial Affairs Committee for almost two semesters. I want to be a resource for student organizations requesting funds to make this process as efficient as possible. I’d assure that the funding for student organizations paid for by segregated fees is disbursed equitably and in a manner that benefits the majority of the student population. My goal is to develop changes after listening to our student organizations needs so they receive the funds required to be successful as I believe each one is important.
Hello, I’m Sophia and I am a sophomore here at UW-Stout. I became a senator to help further voices of underrepresented students, to get more students aware of the campus wide issues that affect them. As a senator, I sit on Congressional Committee, Financial Affairs, EDI and 3 Shared Governance Committees. Each committees continues to teach me so much about our university, and how little our student population knows about what goes on behind the scenes. As vice chair of Congressional committee, I have gotten to shadow the Legislative position, and can’t wait to share my vision of its future.
Previously held the position of Director of Legislative Affairs. Hosted several voting engagement events.
I have been in this role this school year and I believe there is still much work to be done. I don’t know if this work will ever be done but, as I said last year, I am committed to making campus more educated on what it means to be equitable, diverse, and inclusive. EDI is not just a concept – it is a thought process, a view on the world, a way of making decisions. As Director of EDI I will continue to hold our student government to be equitable, diverse, and inclusive.
Hello all, I am running for EDI as there are two position that I felt passionate about EDI and FAC. I choose to not run for FAC as I felt that I should utilize my voice to continue the work of EDI and further the goals of the EDI office throughout this campus. EDI covers so many marginalized groups and I want to fight for all of them so that they can find this campus safe to be who they truly are. I want to make sure no matter your gender, sexuality, age, creed, ethnicity, political or religious views you are able to feel comfortable being yourself on this campus.
I have been involved in Student Stout Association for almost two semesters now. I have been vice chair of the Sustainability Council, helping make events and fix campus concerns. My goal is to get UW-Stout a zero-waste campus.
IT is a very important part of our campus; it's how everything runs, and I understand the type of leadership needed to support our IT infrastructure. I have prior experience working in IT in the educational sector, prior experience as an SSA director, and study Computer Networking and Information Technology on campus. I would be honored to be your Director of IT, and help support the infrastructure that keeps our university going.
One of the most critical aspects of our campus is keeping our IT systems up to date, both to increase overall access to education and to ensure that Stout students aren't being left behind by bad technology. As the new Network Administrator for PONG and as a CNIT student here on campus, I am capable of stepping up to the task of being the Director of IT in the SSA Senate.
As a senate in SSA I would like to allow the students of UW-Stout to have their voice heard on what they believe should be renovated within reason. I am currently a sophomore and am apart of the Service Club and the sorority, Alpha Phi International. In Alpha Phi, I hold the position as Pahnel President and have had other leadership positions in the past so I enjoy being active in events along with volunteer opportunities. I am running to become a senate because I want all students to be heard on what they want for our campus to look like and how we can better our campus as a whole.

During my time on SSA I served as the Vice Chair of Organizational Affairs and a Senator. No matter how the elections turn out I will always support student voices. I have enjoyed my time being a member of SSA and I want to continue serving UW- Stout to my full potential.
I would like to be a senator because I want to represent the student body view and provide a voice for those that are too shy to speak up or don't know how to. And I would like to help other students voice their concerns and opinions while providing guidance to them with the information I learn in senate.
I very much like being a senator. I have learned a great deal of things throughout my experience as a senator. As a senator, I will work to voice student problems and work on my best ability to help find solutions to those problems. I will advocate for the welfare of the students at stout and work towards creating a bridge between student and the school system.
I have been in SSA for most of this year after getting appointed as the Senator for Transfer Relations. Since then, I've been able to learn a great deal about what it means to work in student government, and the responsibilities inherent in working with the University of Wisconsin-Stout and with assisting with projects that benefit the lives of all students. I will be very happy to serve as a senator again next year if elected.
I love to work with people and contribute to the society, it would be lovely if I can be the Director of Organizational Affairs since I have experiences that are fit for the position. But if not, there I would want to contribute in some other ways and position such as a senator and make myself better for the Position next year/ semester.
I hear a lot from other students about how much Stout sucks, but not much about how they plan to fix it. I've started working on some things to improve light pollution, and I'd be able to do a lot more on that as a senator. Some other areas that I would like to improve as senator are providing more direct representation of students by holding one on one meetings with every student we can, and finding ways to better fund student orgs.
I am currently in the HR Training & Development Masters program at UW Stout on line program. I want to be the voice for the on line students. I am dedicated and committed to the committees that I am currently sitting on and looking forward to another term in SSA. Thank you!
Hello, I’m Madelyn Davis. Currently a freshman here at Stout. I have been a senator for the past semester. Being a senator has allowed me to voice my opinion for the student body. Right now, I am involved with Legislative Affairs committee in the senate. I would love to continue my work in the senate.
Greetings, my name is Dan Peterson, and I am a freshman Psychology major here at stout. I work at the library, am an Eagle Scout, and am involved in a few extracurriculars, such as Psi-Chi, and Climbing club. I would like to be a senator, as I want to make sure everyone on campus is not only heard, but understood. Serving as a senator would be a great opportunity to both improve campus and improve myself. It would be an honor to represent my friends and my peers here at UW-Stout.
As a current senator in the 53rd congress, there is nothing more fulfilling than this role. In my time as a senator I have been able to do continuous outreach to the student body about policy, and issues that affect them at this university. I hope to be able to continue to do so, and help the student body stay informed, and share their perspectives.
Hello, next year will be my fourth year in SSA, I started as a Senator of Fiscal Management, became Director of Information Technology, and am currently Vice President. I've given my heart to this organization and the student body we represent, I am now excited to see how a new Congress will continue changing this university for the better. In the meantime, I've decided to run for a Senator position allowing my journey with SSA to come full circle. Thank you for your consideration.
Have been a senator for 2 of the last 3 years. I have never been influenced or coerced into a vote that opposes my ideology. Defends the average student.
Hi my name is Ana Lambert. I think I would be a good senator because I am in multiple orgs like SRA, WEAR, Alpha Phi sorority, and Craft Club. I am on the executive board for those clubs as well. I think I would be a good senator because of being a part of these orgs I have developed good leadership and communication skills. I would also like to help make UW-Stout more enjoyable for students.
