Launched in 2001, UW-Stout's Safe Space Program is an Ally training designed to help students, faculty and staff of any sexual orientation or gender identity/expression better support and advocate for LGBTQIA+ individuals. The training is facilitated by the LGBTQIA+ Program Coordinator and includes a student panel whose members share stories of their experiences as LGBTQIA+ and allied people and answer participants' questions. The training is designed to help participants learn how to identify and combat homophobia and heterosexism on campus and better familiarize them with the LGBTQIA+ community. Learn more about Safe Space Trainings at The Qube.
The Qube Library offers a vast collection of books, both fiction and non-fiction, to meet a wide variety of needs. Learning about an identity you're less familiar with or just wanting to read a story with a specific representation? We've got you covered. Learn more about our Queer Lending Library.
Forms and survey instruments are a win-win proposition at UW-Stout, ensuring that departments, offices and organizations don't inadvertently limit the information received, while contributing to the welcoming and inclusive campus environment we all value. Contact Us for a quick, easy, and free assessment of your forms/instruments, complete with suggestions for simple revisions!
The Qube is proud to offer a Hygiene Station with donated personal hygiene items available to guests for free. Items include menstrual products and safer sex kits. We also accept donations of items from individuals and organizations.
The Qube has staff available to speak to your class, school group, event, or organization. Please contact us if you are interested in having a speaker to address LGBTQIA+ issues.
