Important Fall Student Org Updates


July 1st: New Fiscal Year

Student orgs may now begin spending their 2024-2025 SSA annual budget allocations. The budget for 2023-2024 is now closed and no longer able to be accessed, including contingency funds. Beginning July 16th there will be a new Student Organization Accounts Manager, so please plan for additional time for orders and processing as the Accounts Manager starts in their new role. For questions regarding SSA funding and spending email Jennifer Lee at leejenn@uwstout.edu.  


August 1st: Backyard Bash Registration Opens on Connect

The sign-up link will be emailed out to all officers and advisors. Only one person needs to complete the form to request a table for your org. Backyard Bash will be on Tuesday, September 3rd from 5-7PM.
 

September 1st: Org Re-Registration Opens

All orgs must re-register by September 30th or your org will be deactivated. To re-register you will need 4 officers and 1 advisor, an updated constitution from 2022 or sooner, and at least 1 officer must attend the Fall Leadership Summit. September 16th: Fall Leadership Summit

All orgs must send at least one officer to the in-person Fall Leadership Summit or you will not be able to re-register and your org will be deactivated. To register and for more information go here.
 

September 16th: Priority Booking for 2025-2026 Room Reservations

This DOES NOT include weekly org meetings. This is ONLY for large or one time events in the MSC or Price Commons. From September 16th- September 30th you will need to submit any MSC or Price Commons room reservation requests for the 2025-2026 academic year under the priority booking form. Reservations can still be requested after this time, but space will be limited to what is left. For more information go here
 

Blanket Room Reservation Requests for Fall 2024

Blanket reservation requests for Fall Semester 2024 are open. Blanket reservations are for student organization’s weekly/reoccurring meetings that reserve the same time and day weekly or biweekly for Fall Semester 2024 (September 4, 2024 – December 13, 2024). To submit a request for your organization, fill out this form on Connect: https://cglink.me/2db/s94857.

NOTE: The Blanket Reservation Request is only for reserving meeting rooms in the Student Centers (Memorial Student Center and Merle Price Commons). If you would like to reserve a classroom space in one of the academic buildings on campus for your organization's meetings, please e-mail classrooms@uwstout.edu. Please include your name and contact info, organization name, dates needed, meeting start and end times and number of attendees in your requests.
