August 20, 2020
Greetings Org Leaders!
The countdown has begun and we are excited to welcome you back to campus. We are working on centralizing the important updates you need to know as a student organzation leader so that you can access them anytime on our CONNECT website. Over the next two weeks, we will be updating this site with information that's been sent out in The Loop over the past month. For now, please continue to reference archives of The Loop.
We want to take this week to remind you of a few important updates we previously communicated over the summer.
As a reminder, all student organization meetings, events and activities will undergo a registration and approval process. Please refer back to the original announcement regarding event registration.
If you have any questions regarding the event registration process, please contact us at involvement@uwstout.edu.
Event and Meeting Reservations
Going virtual is still a great option for student organizations this fall for meetings, events and activities and we encourage it whenever possible! There are a number of tools to help you stay connected with your org virtually.
If you do find yourself in need of space for an in-person meeting or event, limited space is available on campus. Updated room capacities can be found here. Due to availability, not all requests will be able to be accommodated.
Each fall, student orgs are required to complete the organization re-registration process on CONNECT as well as send one representative to attend the Leadership Summit.
Org Re-Registration will happen as normal this fall via CONNECT and will kick off in late September. The Leadership Summit however, will go virtual. As the Invovlement Center continues to make plans for that event, we will provide additional updates in the near future.
Please stay tuned for more information on both of these requirements.
That's all for this week! Keep on prepping for Backyard Bash and please don't hesitate to contact the Involvement Center with any questions regarding your fall organization plans. We are here to help!
