Orgs Invited to Table at Admissions Campus Preview Day Event

Admissions is incorporating a Student Org & Club Fair during the Campus Preview Day event on March 7th from 9:30AM-10AM. High Schools from the area are bringing their students on our campus and more than 150 students from 9th grade to 10th grade are attending this event. This is a great opportunity to showcase your org/club, share your stories, and talk with high school students of why they should be a future Blue Devil!

Spots are limited! If you are interested, please fill out the Google Form as soon as possible and admissions counselor, Nou Lor, will get in contact with you. More questions, contact Nou Lor at lorno@uwstout.edu.

Add Your Org Name to Event Titles on CONNECT

When you are creating an event on CONNECT, make sure to add your org's name to the event. Example: Org Name | Weekly Exec Meeting.

Creating a Recurring Event on CONNECT

If you have a recurring event like a weekly meeting or exec meeting, you can create one event on CONNECT and have it repeat as many dates as you need. To do this, click the recurring event settings and then select which dates you'd like the event to repeat.

Event Location Settings on CONNECT

When you are creating an event on CONNECT, make sure to set who can see the event location to everyone. You will need to select this for each event you create as it is not the default option. In this same section when creating an event, make sure to uncheck the to be determined box once you have a confirmed location.

Poster Printing Requirements

If you are requesting org posters to be printed by Involvement, you must have the following on the poster:

  • Org Name
  • Event date, time, and location
  • A Stout email address to contact
  • "Not produced at taxpayer's expense" statement
  • If SSA funded, the new logo that is linked in the form
Posters must be submitted at least 10 business days in advance and events must be on CONNECT and approved.

Office of Research and Sponsored Programs

If students in your org are interested in doing research or an academic or artistic project while at Stout, please invite the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) to drop by your next meeting. ORSP can talk about how to apply for grants of ≤$2,500 to conduct research or ≤$1,500 to attend a conference or publish, how to submit an article to Stout’s Journal of Student Researce, and why attending events like Research Day, UW System Symposium, and the National Conference on Undergraduate Research can be so beneficial. Email Chela Cea to set up a date/time. Learn more here.
