BDP TNO: Emma Jude w/ B.J. Fisher

Thursday, March 7
8:00pm - 10:00pm
MSC Terrace
Add to Google Cal,Outlook,Yahoo,iCal

Emma Jude is a New York based singer/songwriter, using a looper harmonizer, has a repertoire of over 500 covers. Most recently, she performed at the 2020 Syracuse Area Music Awards after winning best pop album in 2019. She has independently released three albums. Miss Jude is also an established studio singer performing vocals for multiple artists in Nashville and New York. Since 2015, she has traveled to over 30 countries and she drew inspiration for her music from each unique place and its story. Similar to a live Ed Sheeran performance, Emma uses a looper harmonizer to make each song her own. Throughout four years as one of Carnival Cruise Lines top performers, she has become a human jukebox with a personality to match.
Join us in the Terrace for another night of live music with opener B.J. Fisher starting at 8, and Emma Jude following at 9.

Is My Job Offer Good Enough?

So, you landed an interview at Career Conference last week. Good for you! šŸ‘ As you prepare, remember this: the interview isn’t just to see if you are a good fit for the company, but if the company is a good fit for you. If you ace the interview, consider the whole picture when evaluating the job offer:

1. Employer: Does the company culture match what you are looking for? Are there opportunities for growth? Did you feel comfortable during the interview? How will your style and your manager’s merge with the organization?

2. Salary & Benefits: Research the labor market information to determine salary and experiences levels using sites like careeronestop.org, salary.com, and Indeed. Evaluate your personal salary requirements. What is your monthly budget? Assess your skills and experience level. Develop a salary range with a high, middle, and low range. Look at all the benefits, not just the salary. Vacation days, flexibility, healthcare, continuing education, and retirement can all add value to the job offer.

3. Position: What is the growth potential in the position? Are your job responsibilities clearly defined? How does the position fit with your short-term and long-term goals? How can the position provide bridges to future opportunities?

Career Coaches are here to help if you need to talk your offer out. You can set up an appointment in Handshake!
