Designing Your Creative Resume

Kicking off ART + DESIGN Week, come learn the tips and tricks to crafting a creative resume. This will be your first portfolio piece for an employer, so make it great!

This 3-part workshop walks you through the design process of creating your very own electrical circuit!
Part 1: Will have you map out the project using a breadboard for an overview understanding of how each component needs to be connected correctly. Part 2: Will teach you how to design your own PCB based off of what you made on your breadboard and how to order them to be fabricated. Part 3: Will have you solder components onto the ordered PCBs to complete the device.
For each part of this workshop, be sure to bring your Arduino Uno from ETECH-100 and your laptop with the Arduino IDE installed.
Please register for each event prior to the night that they are hosted as there is a limit of 30 attendees due to supplies and materials.
This event is part of the UW System Spring 2022 Virtual Career Trek series, and is hosted by Oshkosh.

WERF is the statewide educator recruitment fair organized by Career Center staff and co-sponsored by all the teacher education programs in Wisconsin.
Open to students in all UW System schools and private colleges with education programs.
The Wisconsin Education Recruitment Fair (WERF) is an educator fair held in Wisconsin early in the hiring season. Candidates who are interested in working in the K-12 school setting will have a chance to engage with school districts from Wisconsin and through the U.S. as you explore their K-12 opportunities. There is no registration fee for students.

Student Wage Survey
The student government is investigating low wages for student employees and needs your help to collect data. This survey asks about your employment status and job preferences. It is 100% anonymous and most questions are optional. If you take the survey, you can come to get free candy in the SSA Office (MSC 118).
Applications for water-focused demonstration projects due April 3
Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at a UW campus are eligible to apply to the Future Water Leaders Student Pilot Program. The program seeks projects that could be ready for in-ground pilot demonstration in 2022. Awards range from $3,000 to $5,000.
The Qube is surveying the UW-Stout community to gauge interest in event/programming ideas for the 2022-23 academic year + take feedback from this year. You can respond to the Potential Programming Survey on CONNECT. The Qube appreciates any feedback to better educate, encourage, and uplift the LGBTQIA+ community at UW-Stout and beyond!
