Tuesday May 4th we'll be meeting at the CRCPRA to sow seeds in the western end of the property where the winter was spent clearing invasive species. The goal for the area being seeded is to support pollinator populations so the seed mix contains common prairie flowering plants like Bee balm, milkweeds, and black-eyed susans. The work shouldn't take too long so there should be plenty of time to take a hike around the site and check out the sights this spring, or to stop over at nearby Dobbs Landing to see the results of the recent prescribed burn in the areas where the NAC prepped fire breaks this fall.
Meet at the entrance kiosk at 5pm on Tuesday, wear sturdy shoes but no other protective gear will be necessary. We'll be spreading the seeds using sawdust to add extra volume for better dispersal so a mask might be a good idea to keep excess dust out of your nose and mouth.
In partnership with Dunn County Public Health and Mayo Clinic Health System, campus is offering an upcoming communtity vaccination clinic.

Blue Devil Productions are proud to present Bad Bad Hats! This virtual show will be available from Monday April 19th to Wednesday, May 5th, 2021 on our website.
Bad Bad Hats is an indie-rock band from Minneapolis, MN. Their music follows along the lines of classic pop and has unique additions that show the band’s perspective. As the band was starting out in 2015 with their first album, “Psychic Reader”, they caught the attention of listeners. Since its release, they have toured the U.S. repeatedly and have opened for artists such as Hippo Campus and Third Eye Blind. Their second album, “Lightning Round”, shows the band’s growth and how they’ve matured from their first release. This album also reveals a sense of playfulness with how experimental and fun it is. The Hats are now hard at work finishing their third album. Bad Bad Hats is for fans of The Greeting Committee, Sure Sure, and Girlpool.
This event is sponsored by Blue Devil Productions of the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Please call (715) 232-2432 or go to the website above for more information.
