Samuel E. Wood award application open
Are you graduating in the Spring or Fall? If so, consider applying for the Samuel E. Wood Medallion Award! As student org leaders, leverage your experiences for resume building and recognition by applying for Stout’s highest non-academic award. Leadership Awards nominations open
You're invited to make nominations for the 2024 annual Leadership Awards. The six awards are:
Student orgs are invited to Ideation Jam for an entrepreneurial weekend of idea generation, pitch training, and feedback from campus and professional mentors. Student orgs can particpate as a group and will:
Learn Lean Start-Up methods used by WiSys in their WiSys Big Idea Tournament.
Build cross-campus and cross-disciplinary friendships between and among students and faculty.
Conduct customer discovery and early market analysis (key elements that make or break a start-up’s success).
Meet experienced mentors, facilitators, and investors who want to see your idea succeed.
Learn about start-up business creation even if you do not want to start a company.
Gain a toolkit to turn your ideas into reality.
Ideation Jammers will be able to show off new skills in creativity, prototyping, pitching, and pivoting.

Office of Research and Sponsored Programs
If students in your organization are interested in doing research or an artistic project while at Stout, please invite the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) to drop by one of your meetings.
ORSP can talk about how to apply for grants of up to $2,500 for students to a complete a research, scholarly or artistic project or up to $1,500 to attend a conference or publish. They can also discuss the events the office supports students to attend, like Research Day, Quick Pitch, Research in the Rotunda, and the National Conference on Undergraduate Research.
