Rainbow Graduation is an annual event to celebrate LGBTQIA+ students who are graduating from UW-Stout. We want to acknowledge the unique adversity that queer and trans students face in obtaining an education, and would like to celebrate our queer students and their resiliency. All are welcome to attend the ceremony.
The ceremony is open for undergraduate and graduate students, and students who are traditional and nontraditional. All LGBTQIA+ graduates are free to participate in our celebration.

Jackie Walorski of Indiana have introduced legislation to ensure college students and adult dependents are eligible to receive federal funding in the form of direct payments. “College students’ lives were particularly uprooted by this crisis, often losing not only their homes but in many cases jobs as well,” said Rep. Kind, “This legislation will fill in gaps in the CARES Act by expanding eligibility for economic impact payments and take an important step towards providing further relief.” Details of the legislation are available here.
