The Loop | Keeping student org leaders in-the-know
the loop SEPTEMBER 15, 2021

Hi First_Name!

We have lots to share this week!

Most importantly, it's now officially time to re-register your student org!!  This is an annual process required for orgs to stay recognized during the 2021-22 year and is co-coordinated between the Stout Student Association and Involvement Center.

This process entails two parts:

1. Re-Register on CONNECT by Monday, October 4th
2. Have at least one officer sign up and attend the Leadership Summit on Monday, October 4th from 6-9pm.

Please read the steps carefully below as orgs can lose their recognition should they not complete each piece.

STEP 1 | RE-REGISTER YOUR ORG

Re-registration is easy and is done on CONNECT!

1. Go to your  group page on CONNECT. You'll see a blue box notifying you to re-register. click "Group Re-Registration."  Review all of the content, answer the questions and click Submit.  Please note, an officer MUST complete this - not the advisor. We recommend the President.

2. Each officer and advisor must complete the OfficerAdvisor Agreement Form. This will be automatically emailed to you.

3. Review and submit the Officer/Advisor Agreement Form.

4. Wait for SSA to review your org re-registration request and get approved!

Join us at the 10th Annual Leadership Summit as we help your organization kick off the year. Network with other leaders and participate in breakout sessions that will help you grow as a leader.  All organizations are required to send at least one officer to the event, though more are welcome to attend.

Funded this year? Learn how to spend your budget.

It's important to know how to spend that budget given to you by the SSA.  All funded organizations need to review the Attend to Spend slides and take the Attend to Spend Quiz.

Attend to Spend Slides | These slides outline the process for spending your allocated funds.

Attend to Spend Quiz | Anyone involved in spending your org's funding should submit the quiz which easily walks you through how to spend your budget.

Volunteer at Career Conference

Career Services is hosting 7 in-person career fairs between Sept. 27th and Sept. 30th.  Each event is less than 3 hours long and we are looking for volunteers interested in helping us host our employer partners.

Shifts can be 1-2 hrs long and there are several different areas you can volunteer your time in.

This is a great way to earn volunteer hours for student org membership, classroom assignment time or other academic requirement.
