If at any time you are feeling overwhelmed and need to speak with a professional immediately, you can call or stop into the Student Counseling Center Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm. Additionally, you can call the UW Mental Health Support 24/7 line at any time at 888-531-2142.
If you continue to struggle with coping after several weeks, that may indicate that additional, ongoing support and assistance may be beneficial. The UW-Stout Student Counseling Center offers counseling at no additional cost to students. This includes in-person and telecounseling (if physically located in Wisconsin) appointments. Appointments can be scheduled online here, by calling 715-232-2468, or stopping up to 410 Bowman Hall. An additional telecounseling only option is through Mantra. This is also no cost to you and you can be located outside of the state of Wisconsin to use services. You can schedule through self-referral here, or the Student Counseling Center can help you with scheduling.
