New UW-Stout Campus Calendar to Display Org Events to Public

UW-Stout has a new public events calendar that is viewable by both Stout and the larger community who don't have CONNECT accounts. If your org is hosting an event that you would want the public to be aware of, you can tag your CONNECT event with the public calendar tag. After your event is created and approved in CONNECT, it will then show up on the public events calendar after the overnight software sync. You can also manually add events to the public events calendar which allows you to add photos and additional details here.

SSA Annual Budget Requests Close Next Week

The SSA annual budget request process closes next week. You can find online resources regarding funding, purchasing, and reimbursements for your org here: https://connect.uwstout.edu/involvement/student-org-money-matters/

Office of Research and Sponsored Programs

If students in your club are interested in doing research or an artistic project while at Stout, invite the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) to speak at one of your meetings! We can talk about how to apply for grants of up to $2,500 for students to complete research or an artistic project or up to $1,500 to attend a conference on your own or up to $5,000 if you attend the conference with a small group of students. We can also discuss the events our office coordinates, particularly Research Day and Quick Pitch that will take place on May 6. Registration is open for both events now. Email Chela Cea at ceac@uwstout.edu to set up a date/time. Learn more at https://bit.ly/ORSP4Students and follow us at https://www.instagram.com/uwstoutorsp/
