We are Hiring: Housing Info Sessions
Interested in applying to work for Housing next year? Join us for our upcoming Info Session. We look forward to sharing how Housing may be the perfect job for you!
Sit while you eat - sitting helps increase focus and we become more in control over how much we consume
Slow down your chewing - savor the taste, smell, and flavor of the food! With each bite we become habituated and eat without savoring, so slowing down will help us become more mindful
Simplify your environment - people struggle with choice overload and decision making with food. Narrow it down to a theme for the meal and that helps simplify meal planning
Consider where you place your food - keep a bowl filled with healthy snacks by the door, keep healthy snacks at work, and make sure fruits and vegetables are visible in the refrigerator.
Listen to your body - eat when your body tells you you are hungry (stomach growls, low energy) and eat only until you are full
Change how you eat - eat with other people at set times and places, and don’t multitask or watch tv
Connect with food - you will be on a deeper level with food when you understand where it comes from and all the people involved in producing the meal that is in front of you
