Online Student Org Manual

The Involvement Center website has a number of online guides and resources for student orgs: https://connect.uwstout.edu/involvement/student-org-online-manual/ . Guides and resources include making space reservations, spending and applying for funding, Involvement desk services, how to advertise your events, and more. You can also email involvement@uwstout.edu with any org related questions or come to the Involvement Center in the MSC.

Leadership Awards nominations open

You're invited to make nominations for the 2024 annual Leadership Awards. The six awards are:

  • Outstanding Student Leader of the Year
  • Student Employee of the Year
  • Student Org of the Year
  • Student Org Event of the Year
  • Student Staff Team of the Year
  • Bill Siedlecki Advisor of the Year

Learn more about each award, and submit nominations by Sunday, March 10. For more information, contact Nicole Eastman-Frazier.

Samuel E. Wood award application open

Are you graduating in the Spring or Fall? If so, consider applying for the Samuel E. Wood Medallion Award! As student org leaders, leverage your experiences for resume building and recognition by applying for Stout’s highest non-academic award. Only 1% of graduating seniors receive this award, follow the link (https://connect.uwstout.edu/ssa/samuel-e.-wood/ for more information.

National College Health Assessment

Students at Stout are being asked to participate in the National College Health Assessment (NCHA). Your insights could enhance health and well-being programs and services across all Universities of Wisconsin campuses.

Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Training
Like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in a suicidal crisis. By learning QPR, you will come to recognize the warning signs, clues, and suicidal communication of people in trouble, and gain skills to act to prevent a possible tragedy.
This training will be available on campus for students on March 4 from 3-4:30 PM in the Oakwood Room of the MSC.
