Stout Student Association's Sustainability Council is proud to partner with the Natural Areas Club for a cleanup and work day at Dunn County's Dobbs Landing near Colfax on October 31st. The Natural Areas Club recently had a very successful cleanup of several blocks of Galloway Creek near campus. Their cleanup was featured in an article on UW-Stout's website.
The Dobbs Landing cleanup will work on removing invasive species, controlled burning of brush, and collecting prairie seeds for future reseeding. Restoration work like this is important for protecting and re-establishing native species.
The cleanup is from 1-3pm on October 31st at Dobbs Landing, 7573 850th Street, Colfax, WI 54730. The event is open to all, provided social distancing is observed. UW-Stout students, faculty, staff, and recent alumni can register ahead of time on CONNECT.
