Blue Devil Productions is proud to present The LEGO Movie! Join us at 6pm in Applied Arts 210 for a FREE Movie! Feel free to bring blankets, food, and drinks!

Film Synopsis: The first-ever full-length theatrical LEGO movie follows Emmet an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person (the MasterBuilder) and the key to saving his LEGO world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers -- including an old mystic (voiced by Morgan Freeman) and LEGO Batman (voiced by Will Arnett) -- on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the universe together -- a journey for which Emmett is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared. Now the fate of the world is in his tiny yellow hands. Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Elizabeth Banks and more also provide voices in this family adventure from the filmmakers behind Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Prepare yourself for...the greatest movie ever assembled!

Mental Health Tips – Safe Alcohol Use

“You don’t need to know the whole alphabet of Safety. The A, B, C of it will save you if you follow it: Always Be Careful.”

Spring is in full swing! It’s that time of year when we embrace warm air, sunshine, and all things outside. It’s also a time in which students might  embrace partying full-on. There’s nothing wrong with a little partying, but it’s so important to remember to party smart, especially as it relates to drinking. This means keeping an eye on your best friends and looking out for classmates you aren’t close with. It’s your choice whether you choose to engage in consuming alcohol or not, but if you do choose to drink, make sure to know your limits and have a plan.

Here are some tips to consider:

  • Know your BAC (Blood Alcohol Content). A BAC of .10% means that a individual’s blood supply contains one part alcohol for every 1000 parts of blood. .08% BAC indicates legal toxicity.
  • Knowing your BAC can help you make responsible decisions when drinking.
  • Avoid drinking games. These games tend to make you drink more, which leads to faster intoxication. Consider skipping the drinking game or replace your drink with water while playing the game.
  • Have a plan. Know when to say “no” to another drink, know what time you want to be home by, and plan for a safe way to get back home.
  • Have a buddy. Someone you trust that can help keep you on track for your plan.
  • Know what’s in your cup. A standard drink varies depending on what you are drinking. Below are different amounts of alcohol which all equal 1 standard drink.
    • Standard Beer: 12oz
    • Standard Wine: 5oz
    • Standard liquor: 1.5 oz
