About Us

The American Fisheries Society seeks to: a) Educate the general student body and community about local fish, fisheries management, invasive organisms, and conservation. b) Cooperate with local private and public organizations to further enhance fisheries in surrounding water- bodies. c) Train members in fish identification, boat operation, survey techniques, and other fisheries related experience. d) Increase member accessibility to research and job opportunities. e) Volunteering among the WDNR and local agencies to promote co-operation and networking f) Assisting in the completion of UW - Stout fisheries research.
