2021 Samuel E Wood Award Application Open!

The Samuel E. Wood Award for Student Leadership looks to recognize our Student Leaders who will be graduating in the coming spring and following fall, for their non-academic contributions to the community at UW-Stout.     This includes but is not limited to leadership in Student Organizations, Housing, Greek Life, Performing Arts, Athletics, On-Campus Employment, and so on. We want to hear your involvement stories and see how you have improved as a person, helped improve others, or the campus!

This is a very prestigious award only given to less than 1% of graduates each year, it is also the highest non-academic award any student at UW-Stout can achieve!

There is an application process which will also require at least two letters of recommendation from people who are aware of our involvement in the Stout Community, and a cover letter along with the application so those who will be reviewing the applications can get a better sense of you and our involvement at Stout!

More details such as the application, style guide, specific examples of what we are looking for and more can all be found on the SSA Connect Website.

If you have any questions about the application, award, or process please reach out to Chris Johnson Vice President of Stout Student Association
