Surviving Finals Week

Finals week is here!!! Here are ways you can practice self-care and maintain good mental health among all the stress.

  1. Make To-Do Lists: This can help you organize your thoughts and tasks as you move ahead. You’ll also be able to see what you’ve all accomplished!
  2. Lay off the Caffeine: Too much caffeine increases levels of anxiety and also contributes to insomnia. Limit yourself to around 1 or 2 cups a day.
  3. Sleep: It’s important to get at least 7 - 9 hours of sleep each night so your brain can sort all the information you spent all day learning.
  4. Eat Healthy: Don’t neglect healthy habits during this time because you’re too busy. Nutrition is important to keep yourself going. Also drink LOTS of water!
  5. Switch Up Your Space: Changing up your environment can help you recall things better and help with productivity and learning.
  6. Take Breaks: It’s okay to give yourself a break! Try studying for around 50 minutes and then take a 10 - 15 minute break.
