Usnavi is a bodega owner who longs to go back to his native Dominican Republic. In the meantime, he spends his time in a small neighborhood in Washington Heights pining after Vanessa, a beautiful lady working at the beauty salon and looking after Abuela Claudia, the elderly Cuban lady living next door who raised him, among many others. One day, Usnavi's childhood friend Nina comes back from college with a secret, and Abuela Claudia wins the lottery.

"You Go, Girl" Day celebrates women who break down gender barriers and stereotypes. More specifically, the day celebrates Kathryn Dwyer Sullivan, who became the first American woman to walk in space, in 1984. SWE invites students to celebrate this special day with games, prizes, and treats!

Soapbox building will be from 12pm - 3:30pm on the MSC South Lawn. Judging will take place at 3:35pm on the MSC South Lawn. The Soapbox Derby race will start around 4pm. The race will be held at hill near the intersection of Wilson Ave W and 2nd St. W, behind the fire station.
