Subject: Updates for International Student Tuition Scholarship Recipients


Hi First_Name,

Greetings, International Student Tuition Scholarship Recipient.

The first day of classes is just a few weeks away and I know that many of you are wondering about the status of your International Student Tuition Scholarship for Fall 2020. As you are well aware, COVID has brought with it plenty of challenges and we are certainly aware that there are concerns about Global Involvement Hours, in particular.

This message aims to clear up some of those concerns and provide some clarity on the expectations for Fall 2020. 

Here is what you need to know:

  1. The OIE will not require the completion of 20 Global Involvement Hours for Fall 2020 scholarships. 
  2. The OIE will require completion of 20 Global Involvement Hours for Spring 2021 scholarship. 
  3. If you have already completed your 20 hours for Fall 2020, you do not need to complete 20 hours for Spring 2021. 
  4. If you have completed some of your 20 hours for Fall 2020, you will need to complete the rest before Spring 2021. 
  5. If you have not completed any of your 20 hours for Fall 2020, you will need to complete your 20 hours for your Spring 2021 application

For students who have not yet completed their Global Involvement Hours, your letter will contain an update on where you stand with submitted Global Involvement Hours. This number is based on the information you have submitted on Global Involvement Forms to date. If you believe the information that I have is incorrect, please let me know. 

Lastly, please remember that your scholarship will be applied around the 10th day of classes.
