Come play trivia created just for Blue Devils. Test your knowledge of all the things Stouties should (or could) know! It will be an intense game of teamwork so we hope to see you there. Prizes will be given to the winning teams.

The Blue Devil Market is also having a pizza deal to commemorate. Make sure to stop there before or after this event to enjoy a slice or two.

Join us virtually for an afternoon to join us for playing virtual friendly Jackbox Games. We will be playing through Teams. In the Teams meeting we will share the game codes, go over rules and get to meet some other Blue Devils! You can vote in the chat to determine which games you want to play and get the chance to play several rounds. We recommend signing onto a computer and splitting your screen with Teams and the jackbox.tv site or playing the game on your phone!

Work Party at CRCPRA (4/10)

We will be having another work party at the Colfax Red Cedar Preserve and Recreation Area (CRCPRA) this weekend on Saturday April 10th at 1:00 PM. During this event, we will be working on removing woody invasive species from in between the pond and the road within the park.
All the necessary tools and work glove will be provided. All you need to bring is yourself, some water to keep yourself hydrated, and some sturdy shoes.

(Please park across the street at the Colfax park and boat launch/Felland Park. If you google "Colfax park and boat launch" it should direct you there. CRCPRA is just across the street from the boat launch and we will be meeting at the entrance of the park. Also, please park so that all roads and access roads are not blocked.)

Blue Devil Productions is proud to present Moe Yaqub, on Friday, April 9th, at 8:00 PM CST in the MSC Great Hall as well as streaming live.

Moe (Mohtasham) Yaqub is a young and upcoming comedian from Minneapolis. Moe was born and raised in Pakistan, but moved to America in 2012. Growing up in Pakistan, he spent many childhood years acting on television. After moving to America, Moe wanted to make the transition back into TV and that venture led him to stand-up comedy. Moe has been a finalist in Acme’s Funniest Person Contest, Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy Funniest Person with a Day Job Contest, and Sisyphus Brewing’s Funniest Person in Minnesota Contest. He is also one of the producers of Minnesota’s 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival.

Everyone can be an artist and our students in the National Art Education Association will show you how.  Join us for a guided painting class as you make your own creation.  

Supplies will be provided for up to 50 people thanks to the generosity of Arts Integration Menomonie and the Involvement Center. Students must make arrangements to pick up supplies on campus.

Call For Poetry Extension

Call for Poetry - Extension!

We are extending the Poetry submission deadline to Friday!    April is National Poetry Month! Next Monday, April 12th the Literature Committee, English and Philosophy Department and the Involvement Center are putting together a Poetry Celebration taking place from 7:00 – 9:00 PM in the MSC, Great Hall or virtually on Teams.

To partake in the event, register on Connect here.  The event will entail listening from a featured and publish Poet, Karen Loeb, Professor Emerita UW Eau Claire and Eau Claire Writer in Residence from 2018-2020. UW Stout's creative writing professor Daniel Ruefman will lead a mini-workshop following Karen's reading. Attendees can also learn about some types of poetry and techniques and also allow you to submit and share some of your own work!    

This is where you can be a part of the celebration! To submit work to be selected to be read during the Poetry Showcase, please complete this form by Friday, April 9th at NOON! Selected poetry will also be printed and on display at the Involvement Center’s following Monday Meetup on Monday, April 26th at 7 PM (with the author’s permission)
