There have been increasing calls in recent years to remove Confederate and other purportedly racist monuments. Is this something we should be doing as a society?
Join us for a civil and informative philosophical debate on the topic. Dr. Travis Timmerman (Seton Hall University) will defend the view that we should remove these monuments. Dr. Daniel Demetriou (University of Minnesota, Morris) will defend the view that we shouldn't. The debate will be held virtually.
Join us for the final Open Mic Night of the semester and share your talents on the grand stage in the Great Hall.
Sign-up begins at 7:00 pm with the actual show starting at 8. If performing isn't for you, come support your peers while enjoying some free entertainment. Any and all talents or oddities are welcome! We will go until we run out of acts or until 10:00 pm, whichever comes first!
When signing up to perform, know that it is first come, first serve. Come early to sign up.

“Your positive action combined with positive thinking results in success.” – Shiv Khera
Fall Break is now over, and Winter Break is just around the corner, which is VERY exciting for everyone! However, we have a few weeks to go before we are officially there, and for most of us, that means that there is still quite a bit of work to do until we can kick our feet up and enjoy some relaxation. When there is only a little bit of time left, it can extremely difficult to stay focused and feel motivated. As such, here are some tips to help you end the semester strong!
Create SMART Goals. Make sure your goal is Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-based.
Reward yourself when you meet your goals. Go for a walk, talk with a friend, or have a snack.
Get started. Sometimes getting started is the hardest part. Try to do something small and work your way up.
Encourage yourself. Try not to get down on yourself if you are struggling. Everyone is here to learn and that’s what you’re doing. You can do it!
Meet up with others who can help keep you motivated. Find a study group with your friends to help stay accountable in doing your work.
