How did we make it to the third week of spring semester already?  Read on for some student org updates!

Nominate Student Leaders and Orgs for the Leadership Awards

Nominations are now being accepted for the annual Leadership Awards. Many of these awards are geared toward student organizations (bolded below).

Individuals and organizations may choose to self-nominate for these awards or nominate others.


  • Student Staff Team of the Year
  • Student Employee of the Year
  • Outstanding Student Leader of the Year
  • Student Organization of the Year
  • Student Organization Event of the Year - $200 award for your org
  • The Bill Siedlecki Org Advisor of the Year

Deadline | Friday, March 6th at midnight

Nominees for these awards will be honored at the Leadership Awards on May 6th and winners will be announced that evening. A selection committee comprised of staff/faculty/students will review all nominations and select winners for each award. If interested in serving on this selection committee, please contact Krista Proksch.

Contingency 3 Budget Period Now Open

The Contingency 3 Request period is now open until February 28th, 2020 at Noon. Contingency 3 can be used to apply for funding for events that take place during the time period of April 1st, 2020 through June 30th, 2020.

In order to be considered for funding, you must complete all of the following steps:
1. Fill out your budget request before the due date.
2. Sign up for a hearing time in CONNECT. (Registration for this also closes on February 28th at Noon)
3. Show up for your scheduled hearing time to present your request to the Financial Affairs Committee.
