Join us for Free Speech Week! The Menard Center for the Study of Institutions & Innovation will host Ari Cohn to discuss the history and legality of campus free speech zones. (Ari Cohn is lead counsel on tech policy for the Foundation for Individual Rights & Expression.) After Ari Cohn's presentation, questions will be raised by three student panelists: Allie Hayes, Morris Justice, and Cesar Moreno Flores. An audience Q&A will follow, moderated by Dr. Afton Greco, Director of the Menard Center. The event will conclude with a Kahoot contest with prizes for students.

The UW-Stout Foundation Scholarships Application is now OPEN for the Fall 2026-Spring 2027 academic year! Submit your application by 02/02/2026 to be considered for 400+ scholarships available. Students that are undergraduate, graduate, part-time, or full-time are all eligible to apply. You have time to submit a well-written application because scholarships are NOT first come, first serve.

Student research grant deadline on Nov. 3
Students interested in doing research or artistic projects can apply for grants up to $2,500 to cover their costs or grants up to $1,500 (individual)/$5,000 (group) to present at a conference or publish. Our Caucus starts at 6:30pm with our full Senate Meeting starting at 7:00pm.
The University Student Senate is the legislative body of the Stout Student Association and meets weekly to discuss university policy and shared governance, allocate fees, promote new initiatives in support of the students, and hear from campus leaders.
