STUDENT HEALTH CENTER UPDATES

As the situation around COVID-19 continues to impact our student community, we want to assure you that UW Stout Student Health will continue to provide care through Telehealth during this time. We launched Telehealth through Microsoft Teams, as a measure of providing care while also following public health guidance on social distancing.

UW Stout Student Health will remain in operation; Monday-Friday 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM until May 15.

Walk-in appointments and web booking are not available. Call 715-232-1314 to schedule an appointment.

Patients should follow the procedures below:

  • FIRSTCall to make a Telehealth or Phone visit appointment* All callers will be screened for any respiratory symptoms (cough, sore throat, fever, runny nose, sneezing) and travel with an RN/clinician

Telehealth will be the appropriate route and best option for many visits:

  • Respiratory symptom appointments will be scheduled through Telehealth and/or phone-based appointments or referred where medically indicated.
  • Urgent medical care (“sick/injury” visits) will continue to be provided for students as telehealth or phone consultations.
  • Mental Health visits will be scheduled as telehealth appointments
  • Routine appointments (“well” visits) will be scheduled as telehealth appointments o Immunizations and TB testing are temporarily canceled

In-person visits will be arranged when medically indicated for students currently on and near campus.
