From: Danielle Clarizio Date: October 18, 2019 Subject: ISSS Reminders for the Half-way Point of Fall Semester
Hi First_Name,
You've Reached the Half-way Point!
Congratulations! Week 8 is upon us and that means we are half way through the semester. While we know that is good news to some, many of your are experiencing an uptick in academic pressures. To those of you who are feeling overwhelmed with midterm exams, papers, presentations and projects, we are sending out positive vibes to you!
F-1 Students: Is Your Travel Signature Up-to-date?
Don't wait until the last day to update your travel signature! It's not too early for you to update travel signatures for your Thanksgiving and/or end of semester travels. Travel Endorsements (signatures on Page 2 of your I-20) are valid for 12 months. If you are planning to travel outside of the US with the intention of returning, please check to see that your signature will still be valid on the date of your return.
What to do if you are travelling and...:
You don't have ANY travel signature: bring your I-20 to the OIE so we can sign it
You travel signature is valid until January 28, 2020: you don't need to do anything, but you could still get an updated signature if you want to.
You are a J-1 student: you also need travel signatures to leave the US and re-enter. Send Danielle an email if this is a concern to you.
