Questions email the Involvement Center at involvement@uwstout.edu
Event open to current UW-Stout students only.
Most of us are spending more time at home, and it can be helpful to feel good in that environment. Instead of overhauling your entire space, try decluttering for 5 minutes each day. Pick one shelf to start, pick up five things and find a home for them, or try completing tasks that take under five minutes. For more five-minute decluttering tips, check out this article.
UW-Stout Library Feature Stream: Symbiotic Earth
"Symbiotic Earth" explores the life and ideas of Lynn Margulis, a brilliant and radical scientist, whose unconventional theories challenged the male-dominated scientific community and are today fundamentally changing how we look at ourselves, evolution, and the environment. This selection, one of the 100,000+ titles in your Video Streaming Library, is brought to you by Docuseek.
Find fast, functional solutions that address the impact of COVID-19 and social distancing in your local community. Here's how it works:
• Submit your idea in 250 words or less by April 24.
• The best 20 ideas will receive $100 for implementation (after proof-of-concept).
• Selected innovators can request additional resources to scale ideas.
• The challenge is open to all faculty, staff, students and alumni from WiSys-affiliated schools.
• Submit your idea below!
Use the following questions to jumpstart your ideas: How can we help local businesses? What can help with mental wellbeing? How can we support local hospitals and at-home caregivers? Can we better communicate information to the underserved and elderly?
