Blue Devil Productions is proud to present Mean Girls (2004)! Join us in Applied Arts 210 for a FREE Movie! Feel free to bring blankets, food, and drinks! We will have two showings at 6pm and 9pm.
Film Synopsis: A down-to-earth student joins a snobby clique in an effort to spy on the popular kids, then begins to act like them.
The Navigators At Stout are proud to present national Christian/Prolife speaker Leslie Seagraves!
Leslie travels and works globally, sharing a message of hope and truth. Being a God-chaser, wife, mom, and mission leader, Leslie brings a unique perspective on both the local and global scale of abortion. Audiences claim Leslie’s talks expand their minds and hearts while she equips and challenges them to carry a life-giving message to a broken world.
Leslie has been married to Chad since 1998, and they have four children: Joeli, Joy (in heaven), Eden Samuel, and Phoebe (adopted from China). They travel the globe together as a family on mission and reside in the Tampa Bay area. Leslie holds a Doctorate of Missiology degree from Fuller Graduate School and is a graduate of Samford University.
For over two decades, Leslie (with her husband Chad) have been meeting needs, making disciples, and planting “multiplying house churches” among the least reached parts of Asia through the organization they co-founded, 10/40 Connections. 10/40 merges the Word and Deed of Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.
In 2010, Leslie wrote a curriculum called Voice for the Voiceless after losing a child to a miscarriage. VFV weaves the science of the reproductive system, baby development, the injustice of abortion, and the Gospel. In 11 languages, VFV is a valuable church-planting tool to engage unreached communities. Thousands of Asian participants have been equipped through the seminar, and 10/40 has trained hundreds of life advocates who teach VFV in local languages. Leslie loves equipping Asians (and others!) in apologetics, helping them defend life in the marketplace. Leslie and Chad also helped start Life Voices in 2020, a global coalition of believers seeking to end the genocide of abortion in Jesus’ name.
A speaker of the Life Training Institute, with the U.S. as her base, Leslie is starting to speak in churches, colleges, and schools in the U.S. with an engaging message of life. Leslie’s bright smile and powerful storytelling bring both encouragement and challenge as she approaches the defense of life with truth and grace.

“In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.” -John Muir
It’s springtime!! The sun is shining, the warmth is wrapping us up, and new flowers are blooming. It is a time of beauty, discovery and renewal. Did you know that spending time outside and in nature can improve your mental state? We all spend a lot of time looking at screens, but it is so worth it to try and take a few minutes each day to step away from screens and step into nature. Research suggests that spending time in nature can lower stress, improve memory, mood, and attention, and reduce depressive/anxiety symptoms. All these things help address mental health. Here are some suggestions on how you can increase your time in nature:
Study outside on nice days. Print out an article instead of reading it on your computer, take your textbooks outside.
Eat a meal outside. It’s getting light enough to still see at dinner time. Grab a blanket, some friends, and food and have a picnic.
Play outside. With the nicer weather, being outside is more bearable. Take up volleyball, spike ball, or bocce ball after class one day.
Go to Devil’s Punch Bowl and see nature in action with the waterfall and stream.
Walk on the Red Cedar State Trail.
Picnic or disc golf at Wakanda Park.
Walk barefoot. If nothing else, just feel the grass between your toes. At least for a minute. Put your shoes back on before walking anywhere or going to class though.

April is Financial Wellness Month, so the UW-Stout Financial Wellness and Literacy Center is offering a financial tip every weekday during April! 🎉
A high-yield savings account can be a smart tool in helping you earn passive income on your savings account. The average savings account interest rate is currently around .41%, but a high-yield savings account will pay you closer to 4% while still allowing easy access to your money. Check out several high-yield savings account options here. What will the difference in interest earnings be on $1,000 in a year? Approximately $4.11 on a savings account vs. $40.74 on a high-yield savings account. A small increase can make a big difference over time.
If you would like to discuss any of these tips or any other financial topic, you are welcome to make a virtual or in-person appointment. Also, check out the many free resources on display by our partners in the library! Schedule to meet with the Financial Wellness and Literacy Center here.
