IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SACM-SPONSORED STUDENTS

As you are aware, yesterday, a message was sent out from the Chancellor's Office which announced that all classes would be delivered in a distance/online modality for the remainder of the semester. This is a change from initial guidance you received on Friday of last week. 

Some students have asked about the possibility of returning to their home country during this time and while an exception is being made by SEVP to permit this temporarily, students are not required to return to their home country. In light of this, I contacted SACM to see if they had any guidance for SACM-sponsored students and received the following message: 

"Even though Face-to-face classes are now online but No, Students are NOT allowed to go back to Saudi Arabia during the Spring semester. "

Please be advised that if you are SACM-sponsored, you are not permitted to return to Saudi Arabia during the spring semester. Do also note that the spring semester will run until May 15, 2020. 

Because classes will be delivered in an online modality, if you wish to relocate at this time, you are permitted to do so but YOU MUST provide us with the address that you will be living at so that we can maintain accurate records in SEVIS.
