We're Hiring!
Honors is looking to hire a responsible work study eligible student interested in being paid to do homework while helping to keep the Honors Office open for evening hours. Students will be responsible for looking after the space and locking up when they leave.
Hours/week: 5
Pay: $10/hr
Qualifications:
A member of the Honors College
Available Wednesdays from 4:00-9:00pm
Work Study Eligible (Not sure if you are work study eligible? Check your financial aid award screen to see if funds were awarded to you)
The Honors Lounge, located on the 4th floor of the Stout Library is yours to use. The space is available Monday - Friday with extended hours on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Study, socialize, play games, or just chill. There's always coffee, hot cocoa, and tea available - and sometimes you will even find some treats!
Honors Orientation Tomorrow
Tomorrow, Saturday, September 6th from 9am - noon will be our Honors Orientation event with incoming first year honors students.
While required for incoming students, this event is also open to upperclassmen honors students to attend as well.Upperclassmen attendees will receive a free Honors College t-shirt.
At this event we will test your knowledge of the program with a fun Honors Kahoot and then explore Menomonie together. You'll get a chance to interact with other honors students while exploring our community. A pizza lunch will be provided.
This event is for all incoming first year honors students. Students will have the chance to interact with current honors students and staff, learn more about the program, and explore Menomonie.
Upperclassmen Honors students are also welcome to participate in this event and receive engagement event credit.
Honors College students will be discussing The Truth about Immigration by Zeke Hernandez. Sign up is required to attend. Two sessions are available: 4:15-6:15pm or 7:00-9:00pm. Make sure to register for your preferred session or indicate if you are unable to attend.
