Please join us for UW Stout’s second Fresh Check Day; a fun event with interactive booths, free food, and awesome prizes!
Fresh Check Day is an uplifting mental health promotion and suicide prevention event for colleges that includes interactive expo booths, peer-to-peer messaging, support of multiple campus departments and groups, free food, entertainment, and exciting prizes and giveaways. Fresh Check Day aims to create an approachable and hopeful atmosphere where students are encouraged to engage in dialogue about mental health and helps to build a bridge between students and the mental health resources available on campus, in the community, and nationally.
If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please contact Lisa Raethke at raethkel@uwstout.edu.

Presenting a poster at National Conference on Undergraduate Reserach, Research Day, or a conference in your field?
Join this session to learn how to design a research poster that effectively conveys your project, sparks conversation with attendees, and makes your project memorable.
Building from your poster, learn how to succinctly and persuasively describe your work in just a few minutes to someone who may not know anything about your field or work.
Are you fast enough to keep up with this speedy game of bingo? Join us in the Terrace for some fast-paced bingo rounds. **RSVP does not guarantee materials. If you have any accommodations, please email us at involvement@uwstout.edu.
Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Training
Like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in a suicidal crisis. By learning QPR, you will come to recognize the warning signs, clues, and suicidal communication of people in trouble, and gain skills to act to prevent a possible tragedy.
This training will be available on campus for students on March 4 from 3-4:30 PM in the Oakwood Room of the MSC.
Join us as we pick up trash from around campus and surrounding areas. We will be meeting for this event outside of the Involvement Center.
*This is a member-only event. To RSVP and enter event, you will need to show proof of CONNECT membership. To become a member, click "Join Group" on our page and there will be an option to pay the $20 semesterly dues. Otherwise, you can bring $20 cash to our event*
In honor of Build-A-LAN being by the people, for the people, we will be hosting a craft night to allow you, the attendees of LAN, to make your own decorations that will be used to decorate the Great Hall and Ballrooms during LAN! April is Sexual Assault Awareness month, and April 2nd is the SAAM Day of Action. Join the Involvement Center and The Bridge to Hope to create Stout's moving display of T-shirts with messages of support and visibility. Don't have time to decorate a T-shirt? Create a teal ribbon bracelet (with charms) to show your support in other ways.
This session we're using the Lost Foam Method!
We'll have premade patterns and tools to cut your own!
Spots limited; register in Connect to reserve your spot!
In Lost Foam casting, you bury your EPS foam pattern (coffee cup material) in a specialized type of sand with a sprue sticking out on top. We pour molten metal over top and the pattern vaporizes on contact, leaving the metal to take the shape left behind!
Learn about UW-Stout's Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP): whether you want to find funding to do a research or an artistic project, to publish or present, or to get through the IRB process, ORSP is here to help. All supplies includes making tech cleaning slime. Or you can just use it as a fun fidget for your desk. We will give tips and tricks of how to clean your computer.

Join us for a celebration of Holi: the Festival of Colors on Wednesday, March 27! All are welcome and encouraged to participate!
This event opens in Harvey Hall 141 with a short presentation about Holi from UW-Stout students from 4:00-4:30pm. Traditional sweets will also be served.
A celebration of color will follow the presentation at 5:00pm on the MSC Clock Tower Plaza. During the color celebration attendees should expect to be covered in powdered Holi colors (if you are not familiar with Holi, the colors are those used in color runs). Attendees are strongly advised to wear clothing that can be ruined as the color may not wash out.
Throughout the semester, you can find our Career Coaches at various locations around campus for drop-in meetings. Usually, they're out around the lunch hour on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Check our Instagram for the exact location each week.
Feel free to ask questions like:
- What should I include or exclude on my resume?
- How do I begin searching for a job in my major?
- I keep getting rejected. What should I do differently?
Career Services and the Veteran Services office at UW-Stout are teaming up for a one-day event focused on addressing employment challenges, navigating resources, and connecting veteran and military students with employers who value their experience. All student veterans are encouraged to attend in this informative and networking event.
The Dunn County 9 1 1 Center and the City of Menomonie test the community's severe weather sirens on the first Monday of the month at 10 AM from April through October. In the event of a real tornado or severe thunderstorm, seek shelter indoors, away from windows, on the lower levels of our buildings.

Stay informed with the Stout Student Association. University Student Senate meetings are held weekly on Tuesdays with standing committee meetings throughout the week!
As the Wisconsin Primary on April 2nd approaches, it's crucial for our students to be equipped with essential information. The Dunn County Clerk oversees elections in Menomonie and surrounding areas. Whether you have inquiries about voting procedures, absentee ballots, or polling locations, don't hesitate to contact them or a dedicated SSA representative for guidance. Ensuring your voice is heard starts with understanding your voting resources.
