Come share your talents on the stage or show your halloween costume! Sign up begins at 7:00pm with the actual show starting at 8. This Open Mic is going to double as a halloween celebration! Come tell spooky stories or share how you created your costume. If performing isn't for you, come support your peers while they pour their hearts and souls out to put on a show. Any and all talents or oddities are welcome! We will go until we run out of acts or until 10:00pm, whichever comes first!
Event is first come, first serve up in the MSC Terrace.
Come join our open pour workshop this spooky season! We will be opening our doors to all students to metalcast their own designs as well as some Halloween-themed molds. Come try your hand at metal pouring....If you dare.
Hailing from Minneapolis, this indie/emo surf rock trio has been making waves in the midwest emo revival movement. Starting out in basements and small cramped rooms, The Aftergreens have made a name for themselves by performing anywhere and everywhere to angsty crowds needing some release.
Do you ever miss trick-or-treating like when you were a kid? We have an opportunity for you to relive your childhood while doing it for a good cause!
On Halloween (10/31) at 4:30pm, Service Club at Stout will be meeting in the lower level of the MSC in appropriate costumes to split up into groups. From 5-7pm, we will then go out to local Menomonie neighborhoods to "trick or treat so others can eat" and collect food and other items for Stepping Stones.
It will be a lot of fun! Please bring a bag and wear warm clothes underneath your costume. (There is also a very likely chance you will collect some good candy as well so bring some bags!)
Please register ASAP so we have a good idea of how many neighborhoods we can make it to on the night of Halloween.
Join us to make new friends and support our local community by raking leaves. For more information or to register, visit the event page on CONNECT. Registrations must be received by 9am on November 2nd to participate.
The Queer Art Workshop will feature artists whose work has been silenced, maligned, marginalized, censored, or misunderstood. We will discuss the importance of queer voices in art history, analyzing works of art from the LGBTQIA+ community.
Prior to the workshop registered students will receive a document with links to readings and artwork to review to prepare for the workshop.
