Join us as we host a human trafficking documentary: In Plain Sight.
Envisioned and developed by Awaken Media, IN PLAIN SIGHT seeks to raise awareness of the thousands of women and children who are forced, coerced, or deceived into the commercial sex trade each year in the United States. Through the mediums of a documentary film, study guide, and accompanying benefit music album, we open the eyes of the average American to what’s happening “in plain sight” – the exploitation of thousands of people in their own communities without them even being aware.ÔÇï

Whaddayknow, NAC is having another plant sale! This time around, we'll have some small-medium-large sized snake plants, Vick's plants, purple hearts, and spider plants, and of course we still have a decent number of small succulents left from the last plant sale! Stop by, and check out our booth on the first floor of the MSC on Thursday, November 19th from 9am-4pm.
Eric hails from the East Coast, honing his skills at local comedy clubs and open mics until his first big break with ABC/Disney. After a stint with them he struck out on his own where he became a mainstay of the college circuit, performing close to 2000 shows and being nominated 6-TIME Magazine “National Comedy Performer of the Year”. He has a thriving YouTube channel boasting over 10 million hits; his “Songs for Commercials” has over 4 million alone. He has received accolades from across the world and he was invited to perform at the 2009 Creative Emmy Awards. We are proud to have him on our campus and want to give him a warm Blue Devil welcome!
In Earth's future, a global crop blight and second Dust Bowl are slowly rendering the planet uninhabitable. Professor Brand (Michael Caine), a brilliant NASA physicist, is working on plans to save mankind by transporting Earth's population to a new home via a wormhole. But first, Brand must send former NASA pilot Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) and a team of researchers through the wormhole and across the galaxy to find out which of three planets could be mankind's new home.
We're having a work day at Dobbs landing this Saturday (11/14) from 1-4 PM. We're going to try to finish preparing the fire breaks in the oxbow area and burn the remaining brush piles in that area from the work day earlier this year. We also need to clean up the fire break along the property boundary to make sure it's completely on the Dobbs property (the areas circled in yellow). If we have a large turnout, some folks can split off and go work on the burn breaks on the western side of the property or tackle more of the buckthorn in the floodplain forest.
Bring a device and join us for a fun Sunday night of your favorite Jackbox games including Quiplash, Fibbage and more! Vote and pick which games you want to play, get a chance to play several rounds and hang out with your fellow Blue Devils.

Differentiate between goals and habits - Goals are outcomes, such as ‘getting healthy’ whereas habits are the actions you take to achieve a goal.
Start with small changes - Make incremental changes toward the behavior you want, and work your way up from there.
Update your environment - Make changes that encourage your new habit and discourage unwanted habits.
Tie new habits to other activities - Make a plan using the format: “After , I will .” For example: “After each meal, I will read for 5 minutes.”
Some practice is better than no practice - Even if you don’t have a lot of time or energy, do something toward building your habit.
Tell someone you’re starting a new habit - Doing so creates accountability and makes it more difficult to back out of your commitment.
Track your habit - Keep a journal, calendar, or spreadsheet to record your habit each time you practice. It can be satisfying to record your behavior, and to look back and see all the hard work you’ve put in.
Celebrate your success - Healthy habits tend to have long-term benefits that take time to kick in. While you’re waiting for these, give yourself immediate, small rewards to sustain motivation.
