Now is the time to position UW-Stout for the future and create a new structure that fosters synergies and growth and aligns with the university's story. Come prepared to discuss the following questions:
What story should the university's structure tell?
How can the structure better align with UW-Stout's mission, vision and values?
How can UW-Stout create a structure that makes sense to both internal and external stakeholders?
What does it look like to be the new comprehensive polytechnic?
More information can be found on the reorganization committee SharePoint site, including additional listening sessions for specific feedback groups.
**Please note the attendance capacity for virtual meetings is 250. If you are unable to access the meeting please contact provost@uwstout.edu, which will be shared with the committee.

Q. As we approach the mid-point of the semester, I'm worried that people are getting comfortable and not adhering to the safety protocols.
The campus community has been doing a wonderful job adhering to our safety protocols. Thank you! It is critical that this hard work continues. Please adhere to all safety protocols listed in the Return to Fall plan and showcased in our Safer@Stout training.
Before starting work/class and before you leave the room, you must wipe down all work areas with a disinfectant that is effective against COVID-19.
Masks and social distancing continue to be required.
Wash your hands frequently.
On campus students and selected off campus student cohorts should continue their antigen testing regimen.
If you are contacted by Public Health or UW-Stout contact tracers, return their phone calls and participate fully in contact tracing.
Q. What is involved with Advisement Day and why is it so important this year?
Given all of the changes to our learning environments due to COVID-19, checking-in with advisors is more necessary than ever. Stout faculty and staff take connecting with students seriously and advising students is one of many ways they can help students stay on track towards degree completion and successful at Stout.
Students can ask questions about course plans for next semester and debrief about the fall.
First-Year students will receive a “Monday Minute” email with additional information about how to prepare for and attend an advising session with their Advisement Center advisor. Non first-year students can contact their advisor or program director for additional information.
Q. What are the campus plans for after Thanksgiving?
UW-Stout plans to continue to follow the current academic calendar and end the semester in person as planned. The current antigen testing regimen will continue through December 19. Plans are being finalized for testing during break and for the spring semester.
Applications for Winter Job Shadow 2021 are now open. Companies from a wide range of industries are hosting students for one day either in-person or virtually. View the host companies and apply by Friday, October 30th to be considered.
