April is Financial Wellness Month, so the UW-Stout Financial Wellness and Literacy Center is offering a financial tip every weekday during April! 🎉
Do you know how much you’ve borrowed in federal student loans via the FAFSA? If not, you can find out by going to studentaid.gov and logging in. Once logged in, it should automatically direct you to your “dashboard”. If not, you can select “dashboard” from the tool bar towards the top of the screen to view your borrowing. It is important to manage your debt. Also, keep in mind that a dependent undergraduate student can borrow a limit of $31,000 and an independent undergraduate student can borrow up to $57,500 in federal student loans (under current regulations).
If you would like to discuss any of these tips or any other financial topic, you are welcome to make a virtual or in-person appointment. Also, check out the many free resources on display by our partners in the library! Schedule to meet with the Financial Wellness and Literacy Center here.
