Nominations are now being accepted for the annual Leadership Awards. Individuals and student organizations may choose to self-nominate for these awards or nominate others.

Please consider making a nomination for an award below as we cannot recognize our leaders without your support!  

NOMINATION DEADLINE | Sunday, March 10th at 11:59pm

Nominees for these awards will be honored at the Leadership Awards on Wednesday, May 1st and winners will be announced that evening. For additional questions about the Leadership Awards please contact Nicole Eastman-Frazier.

The Student Employee of the Year Award is presented to a student employee that has shown a great deal of commitment to their position (Undergraduate, Graduate and Lead categories). This student employee provides leadership to the department and makes impactful contributions to the team. 

  • Demonstrates commitment to the job responsibilities and department
  • Provides leadership and makes impactful contributions to the team
  • Demonstrates ability to consistently go above and beyond

The Student Staff Team of the Year Award is presented to a staff that has made significant contributions to a department on campus. This staff is one that can always be counted on to remain professional, form positive relationships, provide exceptional service within their area, and go above and beyond their normal job description.

  • Makes contributions that provide a positive impact on the campus department
  • Builds meaningful and productive relationships with fellow staff
  • Demonstrates ability to consistently go above and beyond

The Student Org Event of the Year Award is presented to a recognized student organization that held an outstanding event between September 2023 and March 2024. Both virtual and in-person events wil be considered for the award. 

Events will be evaluated on the following:

  • Met the mission of the organization(s)
  • Successfully navigated the event planning process 
  • Made a positive impact on the overall campus life at UW-Stout and/or student organization members

The Bill Siedlecki Advisor of the Year Award is presented to a recognized student organization advisor that provides opportunity, guidance and encouragement to the organization. 

  • Makes a commitment to supporting the organization
  • Focuses on the development of student leaders
  • Encourages the organization to grow and lead on campus

The Student Organization of the Year Award is presented to a recognized student organization that has made outstanding contributions to student involvement, provides a unique experience for campus and continuously lives their mission.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to the organization’s mission
  • Provides worthwhile experiences
  • Provides something unique to campus 
  • Contributes positively to campus life at UW-Stout

The Outstanding Student Leader of the Year Award is presented to a student that exemplifies true leadership qualities and has made a positive impact on the Stout community. This award should go to a student who has not only grown as a leader but has also inspired the growth and development of others.

  • Makes a meaningful contribution to the campus community
  • Possesses strong and effective leadership qualities
  • Inspires the growth and development of themselves and/or others
