Artist Lindsey Cherek will be recording a Youtube video with her story of becoming an artist, a tour of her studio, resources she relies on as an artist (books/research, Instagram, website), and selling art online. This video will be available on May 4th-15th. Lindsey has also offered to do individual artist/studio visits for 30 min time slots. You can contact her at: lindseycherekart@gmail.com to schedule a time to chat that works for both of you.

Lindsey Cherek paints to understand and create a dialog around the human experience of marginalized individuals. Her process involves attention to light and space and the use of color to evoke emotion reflecting her subject matter. She relies heavily on her intuition to make energetic marks and create a kinesthetic composition. As a queer woman and feminist, she is interested in intersectionality in all aspects of her work. She wants to bring light to the honesty of our bodies, and the ways they are represented and visible in society.

She will be doing a Instagram live Q & A on friday at 5 PM. Link to her instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lindseycherek/
