On March 17, 2020, our campus closed to the public in an effort to slow the spread of the COVID pandemic. On Stout’s first COVIDversary, join the UW-Stout Archives to view recordings from its June 2020 COVID campus oral history project and learn more about how some members of the Stout community coped with the Spring 2020 closure. All students are invited to join our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Team in our Spring 2021 Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Town Hall. The Town Hall is March 16 from 3:30pm-5:00pm on Teams. During this time students will hear updates on our university’s EDI initiatives, and then there will be breakout groups for small group discussions to talk through what Stout students would like to see from the university in regard to continuing our commitment to EDI.
Covert Operations is your chance to test your detective skills. Every Thursday AMCS Women's Group will be hosting a game night dedicated to you sherlocks out there! We'll be playing games like Codenames and Among Us. Everyone is welcome to join, regardless of major or gender, just come and have fun! UW-Stout is competing in Campus Race to Zero Waste (formerly known as Recyclemania), an eight-week waste reduction competition until March 27. Our cumulative results for weeks 1-5 are:
Recycling: 20% of total waste (32,000 lbs)
Compost: 17% of total waste (26,720 lbs)
Trash: 63% of total waste (101,600 lbs)
Last year, we placed #1 in the UW System. Currently we're in second place behind UW-Platteville. You can help us stay #1 by reducing, reusing, composting and recycling as much as possible.

Blue Devil Productions is going to be hiring a new Special Events Director for Fall of 2021! This position coordinates the selection, contracting, promotion, day-of-show production, and evaluation of BDP’s large scale shows that include music, comedy, lecture and variety acts. Blue Devil Productions is proud to present Gully Boys! This live show will be available on our website, bdpstout.com, from March 17th to March 31st, 2021.
Gully Boys is a trio made up of Kathy Callahan (guitar, vocals), Natalie Klemond (bass, vocals), and Nadirah McGill (drums, vocals) based in Minneapolis, MN. The group formed back in 2016. They each learned how to play their respective instruments for the band, and, with much determination and enthusiasm, began to play countless shows. From headlining their own residency at the 7th St Entry to supporting other artists such as Soul Asylum, Third Eye Blind and Hippocampus. They have since been included on bills such as First Avenue's Best New Bands of 2018, and what were supposed to appear at First Avenue's 50th Anniversary, SXSW 2020 showcase, and Rock the Garden 2020.
