COVID-19 Student FAQ's
Q. How will I be notified about others who have tested positive in areas where I work?
We will be monitoring self-reported cases by faculty and staff. Individuals will be contacted through the contact tracing process if they are identified as a close contact of someone who tested positive for COVID-19. Our response procedure overview is in the Return to Fall Plan on page 10.
Q. How should I respond to other students who are not following our safety protocols? Everyone needs to do their part. Remind individuals that the safety protocols are expected and should be followed. Offer to refer them to a location to get a mask if they are not wearing one. For individuals who continue to not follow safety expectations, contact the Dean of Students office.
Q. If I am quarantined or in isolation due to COVID-19, what resources can help me with my coursework?
Please stay in contact with us. While each course has different learning outcomes, resources are available to support you during this disruptive time. Online tutoring services are available here; please reach out to your instructor during their office hours of availability; please reach out to your advisor as well.
Q: How will I know when I need to get COVID-19 testing? If you develop COVID-19 symptoms, you should contact your medical provider or Student Health Services to see if you should get tested, or if you are contacted by Public Health and told that you should get tested. If you are a residence hall student, you will also be contacted via email when it is time for you to do antigen testing.
