💬 Interviews can be a lot less intimidating with a little bit of preparation!

  1. Research the Company 🔍

  • Explore their LinkedIn page, website, and online presence.

  • Understand their culture, mission, and products/services.

  • Assess how the company aligns with your values.
  1. Practice Interview Questions 🗣️

  • Focus on three types of questions:

  1. Behavioral: Past experiences and how you handled situations.

  1. Situational: How you’d react to future scenarios.

  1. Traditional: Assessing work history.

  1. Use the S.T.A.R. Technique 🌟

  • Situation: Set the context.

  • Task: Describe your goal.

  • Action: Explain what you did.

  • Result: Share the outcome.

  • Prepare 2-3 detailed stories (e.g., capstone project, internship) to connect experiences with desired skills.

  1. Prepare 3-5 Questions for the Employer 🤔

  • Ask about department challenges, company strengths, and what employees enjoy most.

💌 After the interview, follow up with a thank you note or email. Restate a couple strengths and qualifications that you spoke about in the interview and let them know you look forward to speaking with them again.

Remember to practice your answers aloud—what we hear in our heads may differ from what we say! 💫 Practice interviewing anytime, anywhere with Big Interview. Check out the Career Success Guide for more helpful tips!

All entries are eligible to win an affirmation plant pot kit to plant and grow, just like you!  Answer survey here!
