The Hall of Heroes, on the first floor of the Memorial Student Center is a display that honors 43 UW-Stout students and two staff members who gave their lives in military service to their country.
At 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, a Veterans Day ceremony will be held in Huff's Lounge to induct a recently discovered hero. Cpl. Charles V. Cummings, an 1895 graduate of Stout Manual Training School, died in 1898 during the Spanish-American War. The campus community is invited to attend the ceremony to honor and learn more about the life and service of Cummings.

When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose”.

The Tommy G. Thompson Center on Public Leadership offers scholarships to undergraduate students at each of the University of Wisconsin System’s four-year campuses. Scholarships are intended for undergraduates who have shown public leadership in their lives in a way that reflects the general legacy of Governor Tommy G. Thompson.
