Blue Devil Martial Arts | President
What led you to become and officer for your org? I wanted to be able to continue practicing martial arts which meant I needed other people. After a few of us had been meeting for a couple months we decided to start a club.
What have you learned about leadership in your experience as an org officer? It takes lots of planning and foresight. It also takes a team. It is very hard for just one person to lead, they need support because everyone has different strengths. Leading a club takes a lot of work and the leaders can give each other moral support.
How have you personally benefited from your experience as an org leader? I have learned a lot about what it takes to coach. I have also learned about
teamwork and dealing with bureaucracy.
Do you have any tips or advice for future org officers? Make sure the previous leaders train you before they graduate. Mentoring the new leaders is very beneficial to new leaders.
