There are two comedians, Evan Wecksell as the opener, and Mary Santora as the headliner. The opener will start at 7PM, and for an hour; the headliner will start at 8PM, and for an hour as well. The event will run from 7PM-9PM. It is not ticketed.
This training is facilitated by the Qube and goes through: pronouns, gender neutral pronouns, how to use someone's correct pronouns, and gender inclusive terms to be using. Want to learn more after attending this training? You can take the full Safe Space training online by registering here.

Largest UW-System Wide Graduate School Event - All UW-System Students and Majors Welcome! The fair is open to all UW-System students. The Virtual Graduate School Fair is an excellent way for students to network with representatives from a variety of organizations. Students benefit from attending by gathering information about a variety of graduate schools and continuing education career opportunities.
Join us to make new friends and support our local community by raking leaves. Check-in will begin at 12pm in the Involvement Center. Please arrive by 12:15pm or notify the event leads if you are arriving late!

The UW-Stout Writing Center now offers weekend and evening e-tutoring consultations on Microsoft Teams Sunday through Wednesday evenings. The Writing Center also offers in-person consultations in Harvey Hall, e-tutoring consultations on Microsoft Teams, and email consultations during regular business hours.
Students should plan ahead and request appointments early on the Writing Center’s scheduling site.

Deadline Extension: Journal of Student Research
The submission deadline for the Journal of Student Research is extended to Nov. 5! JSR is an annual, peer-reviewed publication that accepts submissions from enrolled grad/undergrad students or recent graduates (w-in 1 year) who did student-faculty research, honors contracts, independent studies, etc. Build communication skills, enhance a resume, improve a grad school app by publishing!

Call for International Mother Language Day Celebration Participants
We are pleased to invite you to read for the “International Mother Language Day Celebration.” This celebration will honor Native Language Speakers and their countries of origin. This year it will be an in-person event on Feb. 21, 2022, at 6:30pm in the UW-Stout Great Hall in the Memorial Student Center to kick off diversity week.
We are looking for 10 willing native speakers to share their mother language by recording up to 5 minutes of their favorite proverb/poem/story (as a backup in case we need to go virtual), and speaking live on the 21st of February. If interested in participating, please contact Ann Vogl.
