Individuals wishing to register for more than one timeslot must select the number of timeslots they'd like in the quantity field before registering. You'll then be prompted to select a timeslot for each ticket.
If you wish to register as a group, each member of your group must reserve their own ticket and be sure to pick the same timeslot. Space is limited in each session, so we suggest that your group registers early as we are unable to hold spaces. Groups should only register for one timeslot to provide opportunities for other students and groups. If you need assistance registering your group, feel free to reach out to Heidi at schaafh@uwstout.edu.

“Connecting with others is rewarding; it makes us feel like we’re not alone in the world.”
– Jonah Berger
In the Student Counseling Center at UW-Stout, we offer many different modes of therapy to support the students, but one of the modes of connection and support that people often don’t think about is groups. Individual therapy is wonderful, but group therapy can often be more powerful than individual therapy, as it can support people in a way that promotes community, learning from others and helping to reduce stigma both personally and with others. It is an incredible way to work on your personal mental health goals and find support and connection. Please see below for more benefits of group counseling:
Helps participants realize that others have similar struggles and issues.
Helps you relate to others (and yourself!) in healthier ways.
Everyone will be at different places in treatment, and can offer unique perspectives, skills, and ways of coping.
Offers the opportunity to both receive and give support.
Provides a safety net for individuals who maybe anxious or worried about sharing their feelings.
Develop selflessness and compassion.
