Subject: Update Regards SACM Credit/No Credit (Pass/Fail) Option

Hi First_Name,

SACM REVERSAL OF DECISION REGARDING CREDIT/NO CREDIT

I have just received confirmation from SACM that they have reversed their earlier decision regarding the option of enrolling in Credit/No Credit (Pass/Fail) in the Spring Semester.

This means that SACM is approving students to take classes for Credit or No Credit instead of letter grades.

If a student enrolls in Credit/No Credit, they will not receive letter grades for Spring 2020 but they will receive credit or no credit based on the performance. If you pass the class, you will receive credit; if you fail the class (a grade of F), you will not receive credit for the course.

While it may seem like a this a good decision to take this option, I strongly encourage you to contact your advisors, program directors and instructors who are best placed to guide you as to whether this is the best option for you at this time.

If you have questions about CR/NC, more information can be found here

In the meanwhile, I wish you all good health and encourage you to email me with any questions you have.

Take care,
Danielle
