Curtis Cook will be performing virtually for a live audience (and streamed) here at UW Stout.

Curtis Cook hails from sunny Los Angeles where he works as a writer and a standup comedian. You may have seen him throwing up on the set of Vice’s Flophouse, traversing an Ebola checkpoint for Vice News, creating a cringe singularity with Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstien in Portlandia, or even his stand-up performances feature on Comedy Central. Most recently he has been writing and working as a correspondent for The Jim Jeffries Show. An alumnus of a liberal arts college, Curtis is excited to showcase his progressive sensibilities through his comedy and his belief that we can “change the world by having long conversations with people we already agree with”.

This event is sponsored by Blue Devil Productions and is FREE to all. This event is a part of Blue Devil Productions comedy series. Please call (715) 232-2432 or go to bdpstout.com for more information. For special accommodations at any of our events please email bdp@uwstout.edu.

Speak Up Against Bias

This fall the Bias Incident Response Team (BIRT) released their first ever annual Bias Incident Report, summarizing incidents reported during the 2019-2020 school year. An annual report will be released every fall semester moving forward. Additionally, in an effort to be more transparent, BIRT released a one-page Bias Incident Response Protocol to provide the general process followed for most incidents that are reported. We encourage students, faculty and staff to report any incidents of bias they witness or are victim to here at UW-Stout. If you have any questions about reporting bias related concerns or the BIRT visit their webpage or contact the BIRT Chair, Dominique Vargas.
