What is the LEAD Retreat?
The Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Retreat is an on-campus, one day retreat sponsored by University Housing to provide students an opportunity to develop their leadership skills and abilities. LEAD is not a class, but a series of group exercises and experiences designed by the retreat’s facilitators.
The atmosphere is informal and is an opportunity to meet other students from UW-Stout. All of the LEAD Retreat costs are paid for by University Housing. This is a service to you and your peers and is an investment in the quality of life in the residence halls.
Stout Student Association is currently seeking applicants interested in serving as a University Court Justice. This is a great opportunity for students seeking opportunities to enhance their skills in the areas of conflict resolution, professional communications, and critical reasoning. The role also provides a chance to truly make a difference on campus while enhancing your resume through student leadership.
The purpose of the University Court is to maintain established standards by helping student organizations understand their responsibilities to the university community through the enforcement of the Student Org Code of Conduct. The court serves as an opportunity for the UW-Stout community to hold student organizations accountable for conduct outside of the mission, vision, and policies of the university.
Court positions are eligible for compensation. Applications will be reviewed as received, interested applicants should apply early for full consideration. Court Justice Application

"Ô£¿An Audience with the AlumniÔ£¿
Tonight we were graced with Kathleen Thorn’s wisdom and wise words! A high schooler that ran 5:36 and 12:20 evolved into a college competitor who ran a 10:14 (3k), 17:30 (5k), 36:01 (10k), All-American, school record holder, and Stout mainstay. Big takeaways:
• Embrace the grind
• Charge up every hill you run (this one’s debatable)
• and enjoy every moment
Thank you Kathleen!"
